After posting for years that milder winters are a sure sign of GW he is now posting about how colder winters are a sure sign of GW:http://eureferendum.blogspot.com/2010/12/warmer-means-colder.html[^] Anyway, apart for his utter lack of gall, here is some backgrond on why Greelnad looks so warm: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/12/20/australias-white-summer-monbiots-red-fury/#more-29819[^] So, take a weather station at the end of a runway, frequently washed by turbofan exhaust gas, and apply its effect over a 12000 km radius. Not surprising 2010 is the hottest year on record accrding to GISS. Meanwile, NH snow extent form NOAA will have 4 of the 5 highest years since 2003. Mind you, if you applied a 1200 km smoothing to snow extent you could probably prove the earth is in a new ice age!

OMG - we're all gonna die!!! Wait until everyone in Spain tries to sneak into North Africa and everyone in France moves to Algeria while Mexico tries to stem the influx of illegal immigrants from the US. That'll teach 'em!

I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. In my youth. I have observed in different countries, that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer." ~ Benj Franklin

This is the only forum in which the rules at the top of the page state clearly 'No Climate Change' discussions. If you really have to keep flooding the site with this topic then do it in the Backroom. Chris obviously prefers a 'community moderated' approach to the forums, which is one of the many pro's of the site. By continuingly disregarding the stated rules of the forums you are not only disrespecting Chris but everyone else who contributes to the site. Don't think this is coming out exactly how I want to say it, but I can't be bothered to rephrase it. At the end of the day, if the rules blatantly say no 'climate change' then have respect and post it elsewhere.

If Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

I did think it was a strange rule as I would agree the best place for them is here as a.) its not the lounge b.) You are not comparable to some of the low-lifes that inhabit the backroom. c.) it gives everyone the oppourtunity to vote you down ;).

I have to say that this cold weather has crtainly fueled the subject matter, I normally wouldnt post so much since generally there isnt much happening, but with Cancun and record cold there is a veritable flurry of desperate 'if its cold its warm and if its warm its warm' backtracks and plys from the usual noise sources. Even the other day some bint, lady bingly or some such, a labour peer, said on the radio there never was GW, it was always CC! Anyway, GW is dead. The global recession tied to total lack of warming for 15 years has seen to that. (source for that is Dr Jones, BBC interview 'no stastically significant warming since 1995') Its just a case of shovelling few handfuls of dirt on the corpse and heading off to the pub.

That is definitely something I can agree with!!!

                I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

I don't think it ever will be (though it may morph back into Global Cooling if that looks lucrative) but as an excuse for raising taxes, giving money to the third world (thus making them less likely to get off their arse), and controlling more and more of the lives of citizens, nothing, else comes close. Janet Napolitano - head of our homeland security department - recently declared that her agency's most important job was fighting global cooling. Of course she also referred to a year as having 364 days, so perhaps I should consider the source.

Well, because of GC(Global Cooling), time contracts like everything else, so there are only 364 days in a year as the world cools off.
