Look, I know you are having a hard time with your wife's health, and I feel for you and her, I really do, but this isn't the first time you've posted something like this, and frankly, it borders on racism. You, of all people, who feel bad for CSS when he insults and abuses you.

Please. CG is not even being remotely racist. What he says is true, these type of jokes/morals are commonplace here and 95% of the time they are posted by Indian/Bangledeshi/Chinese members. People (Nish I think) have suggested theories for this, maybe its where the average age of our Indian members is lower than the average age of the Western memebers. Whatever, but if an Indians only fault is bad joke telling, then I would love to be Indian. Don't know how well my message is coming across, but Racism is a serious issue and should definitely not by tolerated especially on a site like this. But by suggesting someone is being racist, when they are not, I feel you are diluting the seriousness of it. By throwing accusations like this around you make people think twice before responding to an Indian member, thus creating a type of racism as people will essentially respond in a different manner to Indian members than they would to another member in fear of being branded racist. If I see genuine racist comments on here, then I will be first to chastise the perpertater. Please if you were in any doubt look who the poster was. There is freindly nationilistic banter on this site daily between the English/Aussies/Americans/French the Indians should be able to take the piss out of us too, especially as they will have ample oppourtunity too soon when they humiliate us at the World cup next month. and in return we should be able to take the mickey out of you when you make us cringe with a bad joke.

He's from Bangladesh. Asking him to post in the Indian forum is like saying Shane Warne is from New Zealand. I would also like to add this - initially, to stop the constant flow of utterly crappy jokes from Indian members in the Lounge, I did ask some of them to post them in the India forum first to test the waters. But as that forum evolved, I have stopped doing that. In the OP's case, the joke (if it can be called that) would be unfit for any forum. It's not going to be popular in the Lounge, and it most certainly is not welcome in the Indian forum.

"If somebody tells a crap joke, they must be Indian" admittedly stops short of calling Indians an inferior race, but it certainly plays with - and worse, perpetrates - stereotypes. Besides, I've seen Mugabe being called a racist and I doubt he considers whites inferior. Graus has a long history of anti-Indian comments. Sample jibe[^]

This has become an 'in' joke now among Lounge regulars, I fail to see how you can be offended by it. For example It has become an in joke that I am a gay dancer. I see your point you are making with regards to the poster actually being from Bangledesh, I dont think CG looked at his profile, he probably thought the name was Indian.

:wtf: Of course he considers white inferior. So not only are you suggesting CG thinks Indians are inferior to him, but also implying that Mugabe is a better person. I dont want to get in to a lengthy debate on the subject. My original point is if Indians only fault is bad joke telling (and it is the only one I can think of), then be proud. All other nationalities represented on this site have a lot more undesirable flaws. Be proud you are Indian and take the leg-pulling in the light-hearted manner it is meant to be taken. By implying that someone who thinks Indian people tell bad jokes is worse than Mugabe does more damge than good. In my country, Indians make up the largest population after the indigenous whites, and I cannot think of a more polite, hard-working and respectful race and they make a invaluable contribution to our country. Be proud of this fact and don't play the victim over trivial comments. There is a big difference between racism and banter.
