Loving the Kindle: bought one a couple of weeks back and can't put it down. It's a fantastic piece of kit that does one thing and does it brilliantly. I've already downloaded (free and paid for) books that will take months to get through and it weighs practically nothing. A good example is this[^]: how much would 624 pages weigh? A lot more than a Kindle.

It does sort of feel that way, doesn't it? :-)

Far easier to read on the train than a paperback or heavy hardback. Missed my stop a couple of times: you get lost in it very easily.

Yeah, me and the wife got one each for Christmas. Arrived in January. The wife cracked the screen on hers and Amazon replaced it - no questions, and paid for postage (we've had the replacement already). Can't fault that customer service. AND I've only just started on my Sherlock Holmes anthology, then Lovecraft, then H.G. Wells etc etc

Ive just downloaded the works of Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, whose works (particularly Carmilla) are said to have influenced Bram Stoker in the writing of Dracula.
