I basically need to add a network place that points to a share point library so I can save my documents easier. This is on Windows 7 x64 and I cannot make it work. It just tells me that the path is not correct. You could not believe the amount of posts if you look this up on the Internet. And I cannot believe that after more than a year there's still no solution from Microsoft. See this for example: Can't add network location with http address to Windows 7[^] I don't know if I want to ask here for a solution because I have a feeling there's still none but I am amazed there's nothing that can be done to determine Microsoft to address this. Can you think of anything? Cheers,

It's nice to break up the recent string of odd posts though.

It is good that a workaround exists. However, you read and are aware what the workaround entails, isn't it? Yes you can call me lazy but I woukd rather use my Windows XP virtual machine where it works.
