Providing she doesn't have a suspicious mind like Peterchen above, it will totally make her (your) day! :-D Don't ask me why we like flowers so much - possibly because it's one of the few things men can buy us which we are quite sure had nothing attached. I mean, if he buys me chocolates, and I'll insist that he eats at least 50% of them. But flowers - purely something for me to enjoy, and the monthly budget doesn't get adversly affected by them either. :rose:

But suddenly we live in the land of the eternal diet, never followed through or taken seriously, yet brought up whenever we buy anything sweet for her or ourselves. My wife also tells me off if I buy the *wrong* flowers, and as they all look the same to me, it's at least 1/2 the reason I rarely buy them. The only safe bet is $60 worth of roses, which I can hardly afford to do often. I guess I am just cynical, but my first thought is that card sales needed a boost. Did you know that mothers and fathers day were invented by card companies ? So I've been told, anyhow. They've admitted to inventing "Boss's Day", "Secretary's Day" and "Grandparent's Day". I can't wait for a "Happy Colleague At Work Day". A friend recently posted me a big parcel to college (you know the usual joke of sending a parcel with loads of foam* and not much else) except with little origami shoes hidden inside, a 'sorry I missed your birthday' card (for the 12th - where's my presents guys? guys? :-)), some Terry's chocolate orange and a letter. If you're reading this, thanks Emma - it brightened up an otherwise dull day! * how cool is foam for throwing at each other and genearlly acting childish with :-D?! -- Andrew.
