RANT about software and !FAIL!WARE!
-
:wtf: I have used Roboform for years. I have loved it because it was simple. It did it's job perfectly, and it was brilliant. I've licensed 5 different versions, a flashdrive/portable version, an unlimited version and probably would have licensed more *IF* they hadn't opted for a frail, unstable and *GREEDY* activation scheme that is not only intrusive it's flaky. I have to activate it nearly every time I come back to my computer after being gone for a spell. It's irritating, synch (which restores my activation) is tedious with over 300+ passcards. I understand they want to protect their product but this is not how you go about it. I'm not a software pirate, I'm a long-time user and huge fan. At the very least they could have done a nice thing a little check like so: if (user.LicenseAge() > 3 years) { //Set nag to every 60 days. licenseExpires(60, false); } private void licenseExpires(int daysFromNow, bool turnNagOn) { //Leave the poor damned user alone so they can get some effing work done! :| } The above code is free to any software vendor. :-\ If you wish to keep me as a user you damn well better implement it or something similar because nagWare is malWare and I'll remove it and go find the openSource free alternative you biatches!!! There! Monday can now get off my back. Tuesday, where the heck are you? You're late that's where you are!!!:rose:
Why yes, as a matter of fact I am in a good mood. Now piss off! Climb On!
