http://www.hse.gov.uk/radiation/ionising/radon.htm[^] I was born and lived in a granite house in the west country. God knows how much radiation I have been exposed to. And so far as I know, it hasnt affected me. I'll just check that with my other head though... :) Seriously though, I remember a guy with a Geiger counter in a car park in Cornwall. He picked up a rock, pointed the thing at it, and it went mental. Something like 20,000 times over the safe EU limit or some such.

Lindzen, Atmospheric Physicist, Former IPCC Lead Author "It does not matter who you are, or how smart you are, or what title you have, or how many of you there are, and certainly not how many papers your side has published, if your prediction is wrong then your hypothesis is wrong. Period." Professor Richard Feynman

People living in Aberdeen absorb more radiation in a year than a worker in a Nuclear Power Station would absorb in his entire working life.

Yeah, I can believe it. And so far as I am aware, the west country hasnt got a noticibly higher cancer rate. As with Chernobyl, of which we got a good dosing, we should just calm down abit. Radiations natural, and like the flu, can kill, but lets not panic.

There are a million things that can kill you, you cannot worry about them all. Just get on with life and enjoy!
