I am in the US and the economy here is pretty bad. I have a lot more competition now too from people who are not in the US. They just sell at a price that is too low. How are you all doing?

Most of us died from hunger, the other ones are doing part time replacing hamsters in vacation.

Had to migrate my day job from development to test because I couldnt support my family on what I could earn, also had to wind up my company and return to paid employment...and that all happened around '03/'04 before the serious trouble came along

So you are in QA now? Is it paying well? I can't support myself on my income but I recently read that John Stossel a journalist went undercover as a homeless person begging for money. He found that he was earning $100 + a day. Some pan handlers earning about $200 a day! The average pan handler earns about $25K a year tax free. I think I might try that next but i will have to get a good costume to hide my identity.

In the range EUR 45 to 60K - more if you could get work with paddypower.com, but dont bet on getting an interview.

Didn't know that word, just looked it up. Do you know where the word originates from? Perhaps pan as the recepticle for the cash?

PaddyPower is a major Irish bookie with a large online project underway. Will pay in excess of EUR 60K for QA people with good Unix and SQL skills. David Gillick / Sinead Power in HarveyNash, Dublin, would be able to do the needfull if anyone is interested. Forgive me but the odds on getting an interview are not great, I have years of both but they didn't call me back, despite Paddy going on national radio bleating about the lack of suitable applicants...
