I am pleased to announce that today is my parent's 44th wedding anniversary. Amazing that they have stuck it out this long based on knowing what has gone on over the last 44 years and happy they stuck it out. They are both amazing people and pleased to have them as my parents. Their first date was on November 1st, got engaged on February 1st, and were going to get married on April 1st but decided on March 31st so people wouldn't think it was an April Fools joke! Such a short period from first date to wedding and they are still married. Amazing!
I have nothing more to say.

They got married the day I was born! Incidentally, I was born 9 months after England won the world cup. Coincidence? I think not, I am a victory dance!

Wow, me and the missus are celebrating our 5th: Our first date was on November 1stOctober 31 st, I'm not sure when we got engaged (it's complicated), and were going to get married on April 1st but decided on March 31st so people wouldn't think it was an April Fools joke! This last point caused problems here as the 31st was a Friday, it is unusual for people to get married here on a Friday.
Sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Dilbert.[^]

They took their time. Mrs Wife and I were married in 4 1/2 months from meeting :-D
