So I got a spam text message saying I'd won a Best Buy gift card on my phone. Since I'd just been there to buy a portable hard drive I went to the site in the text and checked it out a bit first. I read the terms and conditions and found that it wasn't actually for claiming your card, but for signing yourself up for a service. If I'd submitted my name and phone. I'd have had to deal with other nonsense in getting unsubscribed. While probably not technically considered scammers. I would call them such because they're not up front with what they're actually doing. Getting random text messages always makes me suspicious. Be advised.

That's called seagull management (or sometimes pigeon management)... Fly in, flap your arms and squawk a lot, crap all over everything and fly out again... by _Damian S_

Send them an invoice for the cost of receiving the cell phone text message and data transfer to go to their site ;)
