        Yes, of course.

Dunno, thats up to you. Do you know lots of companies and / or individuals who what such a service?

Maybe. Can you find the ones who need the service you can provide, and undercut teh competition (since you can't show in the early days that you have any other advantage over them)? Have you planned out your advertising? Marketing? Budget? Charges? Timescales? Workload?

You say you know some lot... In order to start a business you need to have some backup money. Making websites is like all other things in this world... there are different needs and different approaches... so you will have to look for the customers that can be interested in services from a small company. It will depend on a lot of factors if you will be able to rely on this business or not: Your capability of getting customers, being able to maintain deadlines, ... Seeing your post I guess that you are not ready to do it: It is too vague, in all aspects... it seems that you've not thought even a millisecond on your question neither on establishing a new business... If you are serious, get legal advice first, look for an accountant that could help you to make a business plan, search for customers that could help you to start and get some financial help... Good luck!

Not without raising your profile a bit higher than "Member 7697383". Your CP profile is a great way to raise your image. I got my current job via my CP articles, and helping on the MFC/C++ forum. I'd set your country in your profile also - as I assume english is not your first language. Even then - don't get your hopes up too high... You will need to do a lot of networking and marketing of yourself (do you have any site already out there to show customers? Any articles? There's no link to a website advertising your skills in your sig) And so on. I wish you every success. And a lot of what I said will be of varying relevance, depending on where you are. I know absolutely nothing about web development in (eg) Vietnam. Iain.

You can, it doesn't mean you should or that you will succede if you do. Many perfectly decent devs have tried and failed because the skills required to running a business and develop software aren't the same and some find the transistion hard (not allowing for the necessary luck and opportunities).

Depends on how well you can sell your services.

There are plenty of small software shops out there so the evidence says yes!

That's the big question isn't it. It's possible to do this, but whether it will work out for you, no-one can tell, it's a mixture of luck, skill and determination that decides.
