Not for the rich. They get richer. Unregulated capitalism at its finest.

TARP was the Bernanke/Paulson/Geithner way of making absolutely sure that their buddies didn't have to sell their yachts. In return the banks and their senior employees made major contributions to the political war-chests of Obama, McCain, Reid, and Pelosi. Big Business/Big Government/Big Labor = America's aristocracy.

Yep, cant say it better than that. Mind you we have inbred germans so dont complain too much. :) Its a funy thing though isnt it. I mean, there we are, for a thousand years, trying to arrive at a fair system through a democratic model, even going to the extent of setting up republics, killing kings, revoloutions, revolts, civil wars, century after century and the very best we acchieve (the US) ends up with an elite class that holds the entire country in its hands. Perhaps its time to bring back the enlightened despots. NB, one could argue that the US 'revooloution' (AKA English Civil War part deux) was actally about this elitist rulling class taking power from the inbred Germans, since it was fomented by Adams and other rich Boston traders who wanted to be richer, and thus nothing to do with the quest for democracy, in which case, you have all been had. :)
