Hi folks, I know that Mac and pc are different worlds with, to my knowledge, diff. processors and design strategies etc. I also know the basic requrements of app development (Mac OSX and Cocoa C) and thats about it. But why is it that one *has* to have all that Mac equipment... it is so costly. It would be mutch easier if one could just get a plugin for VS 2011 that could do the trix. Then dock your iSomething and upload the app after the emulator test... something like that. Is it blending olie and water?

Well, nothing is preventing you from having a Mac (iMac, MacBook, mini) and install and use Windows 7 as your main environment and switch to mac OS when you need to do some iPad dev.

      Watched code never compiles.

First of all I must say that I've never tried it neither I've worked with an apple (apart of touching a little bit an iPad in an apple store). This said I would say that this has nothing to do (at least it should have nothing to do). When you are programming Windows CE devices are completely different operating systems that are being used Windows XX in your computer and CE YY in the device... You can program several other kinds of devices using computers... It all depends on the software capabilities... At last the device will be connected to the computer via WIFI, Bluetooth or a cable... so it is not a matter of which device it is... it is a matter of which data is being sent through that port... I guess this should be that way, but probably (only if it differs) then what should be an apple policy more than a physical constraint... Disclaimer: All this message is only my opinion.

It used to. Now it's 5 apples a day. That's 35 apples a week. For your average 4 person family that is 140 apples needed in your weekly shop. Who the f&%$ has room to store 140 apples? I dunno who came up with this 5 a day thing, but they weren't thinking of those of us in modern homes with limited storage space.

Something starting with: There are three explorers who get captured in the jungle by cannibals. They can get out without beeing eaten but must first pick up five fruits in the jungle. When the first comes back with berries, the cannibal chief tells him he can go, after he put the five into his a**e...

Is there enough time to do that before they release the iPad V177?
