so i thought i had found a good use finally for system restore ... instead of having to uninstall each and every piece of crap the VS2010 installer decided to infest my machine with i could do a system restore and be good to go right? hands up all those who can guess how that went? yah... yah... i can see all those hands ... too many to count but i see you all yes you're all right ... it failed with "an unspecified error occurred and system restore could not continue" how on earth did microsoft become such a bad software company? serious question ... how did it happen? were they always crap and i just didn't notice? or has it happened over the last few years since the sweaty bean-counting ape took over? i swear if i didn't have to work on windows software i would not have windows installed on my machines linux works better these days by a long long way microsoft... from me to you ... you suck donkey balls as a software comany ... please die soon  [edit] and while i'm at it let me ask a simple question... why can't their uninstallers actually... you know... uninstall all the crap their installer decided to install? why must i waste another hour of my life getting rid of the crap i didn't ask to be installed in the first place?? I've been asking the same question for years, and being downvoted here for an equal time. I was taught in Boy Scouts always to leave a site cleaner than you found it, and I've always followed that rule. Apparently no one at Microsoft was ever a Boy Scout. Boy Scouts also taught me to use a knife safely. I wouldn't trust a Microsoft employee with a penknife...
Will Rogers never met me.
