    http://www.metro.co.uk/tech/games/862179-sony-hack-25million-more-users-details-stolen-including-credit-cards[^]

Sony's data theft crisis has deepened, as the company admits that its Sony Online Entertainment computer gaming network was also hacked alongside the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services, with almost 25million users details stolen - including the first confirmation of credit card details being compromised.

First the rootkit, now this bungling - how are these buffoons even in business?

to forgive divine? Nah.. Seriously, if your'e into that kind of business, you should be ready to protect your information. I probably wont understand how pissed off Sony is right now because of what happened, but as a customer, I also expect to enjoy what I paid for.

It won't be too late before they'll be out of business. I've been staying away from their products since a long time. And an aversion towards their products became stronger since they disabled hardware virtualisation on their stupid laptops.

Who amongst us has never, ever made a mistake in our production code? I'm not saying that Sony shouldn't have caught it, but everyone screws up sometimes.

Sometimes? Disabling hardware virtualisation, and telling me it's done for "security reasons" is just ridiculous. I'll decide what I do with my machine, and I don't want sony or anyone else nannying around for my security. It's worth mentioning that these are the morons who put in a rootkit and I'd be intrigued to ask what happened to their sense of security when they did that. Leaking out sensitive information of thousands of customers isn't a small mistake either. They'll hopefully have to pay the price.

Having seen past examples of hacking success, why aren't corporations ENCRYPTING THEIR ENTIRE DATABASE?!! At this point in time, there is NO reason this kind of data should be able to be comprimised. NONE. Sony gets absolutely ZERO understanding or sympathy from this redneck.
