Holiday weekend was great

Installed hard wood floors in our cabin and now my knees and lower back are killing me. How was your weekend?

About the same here, as I'm needing to get back to work for my knees and lower back to recover. I pulled most of the weeds in the yard, tore down a decrepit wood fence, de-nailed and stacked the wood, harvested nectarines from my tree, cleaned the porch, built a lumber rack and sorted out the assorted lumber I keep on hand, sorted and stacked the bits of aluminum and steel I keep on hand for projects, installed a watering ring around the pine tree, then planted gazanias under the mulberry and carnations under the pine. At that I only managed to accomplish about half of what I'd hoped to do, but I guess it's okay to do a little resting on a holiday... :sigh:
Will Rogers never met me.

Went to Gatineau (Quebec side of the Canadian capital region) for their 1st beer festival. It was a lot of fun, a lot of mud and a lot of beer to try.
Watched code never compiles.

Installed many a wood flooring solution and gets to me every time. Knees can't take it anymore, between wood and tile I'm done.

I feel your pain. My wife and I hit the bike trail for 50 to 75 miles in two trips on Saturday and Sunday. Being that this was only the second time out this year (lots of rain this year in Pittsburgh) that hurt quite a bit and still does. Yesterday (hot as heck) we did some yard work and I had to take the pressure washer pump completely apart to clean the insides so the darn thing would not stall the engine.. After getting that to work the wife pressure washed the patio for over 1 hour and I got the driveway for a similar amount of time. Edit: I almost missed the 4 hours I spent mowing the lawn on Saturday morning. 5 passes. The grass was 8 inches high and I mowed sometime last week.. I bagged the first then mulched the rest moving the mower down 1 click each time.

Hey you had enough time left over you could have built a cedar chest and changed the oil in you vehicle? :) As we get older we find that the muscles get sorer and take longer to heal. I worked on my truck over the weekend; changed plugs and oil, washed, etc. and was spent at end of day.

Partied on Saturday... Got two of my friends completely hooked on Magicka[^] on Sunday... That game is ridiculously fun to play local co-op, though it's tough to cast spells with a gamepad. On Monday, did absolutely nothing productive... Treated myself to a Eureka[^] marathon, courtesy of Netflix.
Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in?

Yeah, I know what you mean. The hot sand can really get to your feet after a while.

found out my wife has an incurable disease that will more than likely cost her the hearing in one ear and makes her walk like a drunk person(due to balance being off in the inner ear)..

I don't know how to respond to this. All I can say is that I hope for the best for her and for you.
