As everybody here I think it's disgusting so use God to launch a crusade for its own profit. It existed centuries ago and nothing changes. Perhaps not. When somebody like you stands up and says No, IMO it does matter. As said an historian: "Thus, the future of the World depends perhaps today once again on this millions of individual wills, able by their courage and sometimes their sacrifice, to impose to the Order the respect of the Man. It's undoubtedly why, forty years after the end of the massacre, there's still in the frozen night a shining star which doesn't die: the one of the partisans."

 And no, this thread has nothing to do with Al Qaida. Look at these lines: "warned the festive season would see "revenge" attacks across the country" "attacks prior and during the festive season would be part of what it dubbed Operation Elohiem of Revenge. No explanation was given for the term "Elohiem". The word is Hebrew, and means angels" "We introduce ourselves as fighters of the Holy Father and the Boer nation" (ok, early giveaway) "The statement was peppered with Bible quotes and references to holy revenge on behalf of "the chosen people" " Why is it that all these lunatic fringes think they are doing God's holy work? I don't know about all religions, but certainly the Christian faith (which is what this particular group of people say they belong to) portrays God as a God of love and peace. At what point does bombing fit into this! More idiot fanatics[^] Ok, that particular article is relating to white right wingers in South Africa. Admittedly, I have been away for the past 8 months, but not a single member of my family or friends feel the way this group does. And yet they are in the news making the world think that all white SA's feel this way :mad::mad: So in this world of global communication (you guys living there at the moment should have a good idea of the feeling there and good input on this) is it worth setting up a site to discredit the way these ignorant arseholes are seen? Maybe show them (the ignorant arseholes) that the rest of us feel that the country has enough problems right now without a bunch of lunatics running around setting bombs off, even if they are strategically placed for minimal loss of life. Isn't one person killed one person too many? Isn't there enough of that? X| This sort of behaviour is only going to cause more anger, hurt and hatred. I wonder how they think (assuming they do think of course :wtf: ) this is this going to help the country's long term future. :((

Megan Forbes wrote: is it worth setting up a site to discredit the way these ignorant arseholes are seen? It frustrates me no end that we even have to think of setting up a website like that. Whatever happened trust, understanding and questioning what the media tells you? Fighting the effects is such a sad task, yet more and more we see we have to do that first before we can fight the cause. Ugh! As for the right winger nutter thing currently most of us see it as a desperate, sad, pathetic attempt by dinosaurs to reclaim their lost man hood. They know the truth of the future but refuse to accept it. Whether they pose a credible threat... I don't know. I feel pretty safe because I am white, but that is no excuse, yet it does isolate me from the real effects. I hope Mbeki cracks down on it (and he has been very good at not branding all whites as part of it which I appreciate) but I also hope it is a understanding, peaceful crack down because anything else will just push borderline right wingers over the edge and start a vicious cycle.

Perhaps won't we always have the chance to avoid to choose a side :( Like anybody else, I try to do the good choices based on my conscience (thus on my education), but I don't want to stay on the line seeing others play the game for me. Too many remain silent when shouting was the only honorable way, I don't want doing the same mistake :suss:

Paul Watson wrote: did you really see a bumper sticker like that? I thought of it several years ago while driving around town and seeing so many proud parents with stickers about their children's many virtues. It occurred to me that most of the people I knew had been in jail at some time or other, which led to thoughts about what their parents must have on their bumpers. After a good laugh on the telling of it in bars and such, I promptly forgot about it until a few weeks ago when I actually saw the bumper sticker on a car in front of me! It was generic - no Mohave, just County Jail - but I laughed so hard I was in tears... How I wish now I'd had a few thousand printed and sold in the local pubs. Totally non profit of course, and hopefully I'll be able to bring in some journalists, writers and good editors if I try really hard. :) Well, hopefully I'll have some time to actually start working on it soon. Doesn't look like it'll be sooner than Jan 2003 though. :(

Didn't we talk about a site a month or so ago, exchanging cultural ideas, and educating people? A way to discuss world issues without degrading into a battle of pride.
