That's easy to answer. It's always that code that does more than the boiler plate stuff and data shoveling. In 'boring' business apps this would be what should end up in the application logic. In far more interesting projects, like XNA 3D engines and user interfaces, that would be the baseclasses for rendering and the synchronisation with the UI threads.

The bit which doesn't work is of most interest to me.

What a weird question! I'm partial to a bit of bitwise logic of an evening. Nothing I like more than to curl up in front of the fire with a glass of port and just start ANDing and ORing stuff together. If I have guests over I take out the good stuff of course...NANDs and XORs all 'round. Sometimes I shift bits just for the hell of it. -Richard
