I'm watching a TV broadcast (on US' TNN ) of "Die Hard 2", not the most intellectual movie in history, bit that's not the point, while this is a hell of a violent movie, they, the morons, decided to change the voice of Bruce Willis' when he's swearing , at first, I thought it was a bit weird, the voice didn't fit with the lips, but at the end, I just picked it up ... they really fucked it up, the main character, when the plane explodes, he originally said "fuck you ", but they ( the morons ) replaced it with something like "teedlee-doo ... What's the point of censoring some foul mouthed language, when you see a couple of hundred people die (murdered )! Also, why, on this US's thanksgiving sunday, the busiest air travel day of the year, they decided to show that movie ?!!?!?? Max. [hey how come I'm censored!?!?, even on the soapbox ?!!? ]

I remember watching "The Last Boyscout" on public television a while back. That movie had so much violence and foul language, they had to cut out about half of the movie and dubbed over the other half it seemed like:laugh: It was amusing to watch. Brad Jennings

A child could be traumatized to hear the word "F*ck", but not by the violent deaths he/she sees... Yep, we have the same kind of bloody hypocrisy here. I still don't understand why seeing some boobs could lead children to become rapists, but seeing atrocities all day long have no effect on them ? :wtf: !

Because the people that died were either American Heroes We'll Never Forget, or The Enemy. *) OTOH, the "Saves your day and your buttocks" hero swearing? Some poor mommycould sue Warner Bros (is it?) when her little innocent 7 year old picks up that word in the movie, and repeats it in class. The german version uses "Yippie-yae-yeh, Schweinebacke" which is roughly equivalent to "tedlee-do - screw you". BTW. They really should show movies like that on planes. Would make the intercontinentals more exciting, I guess. `) I really like the Die-Hards. 'cause always gets wounded in the very first minutes, and then crawls through the set.

Why can't they just leave it uncensored, and show the 'R' or 'PG-13' sign in the corner, so people aren't surprised. Hopefully, we'll be able to filter our level of censorship at some point. for example, let's say I have children and I don't what anything rated PG-13 or R playing before 10PM on my TV then I dial into my set that way, and shows are filtered accordingly.
