Goddam...

Goddam useless, whining, finger pointing, office politic frigging users and the shit arse company employing them and, unfortunately, me! When you want me to make changes to a production system at least take part and respond to; a. Requirements requests... b. Enquiries about corner cases... c. Requests to test deployed changes... I've been casually looking for something better for a while, not because I have no security and not because I feel I have to move but because I'd like to be paid at least somewhere near market rate for my skills and experience and if not that at lease have my salary increased at least someway toward the increased costs of living over the last 2 freaking years! I'd also like to use actually licenced development software, maybe on a box which is less than 6 years old with a network that isn't persistently slow and falling over. Now I'm apparently not only working for an unprofessional, ungrateful, morally dubious, cowboy operation but working with business users who can't be bothered to provide requirements, response to any enquiry or test any changes deployed to the appropriate environment and then make formal fucking complaints to senior management we're not delivering changes! What am I, a fucking mind reader! Screw this, I've already polished my C.V., fuck you very much for the opportunity but I'm going to find something better! A N Other Sock Puppet

sooooo. What I'm feeling is that you are a tad unhappy possibly? Not real clear but that is the gut feeling I have... :-D seriously good luck with it though.
Programming is a race between programmers trying to build bigger and better idiot proof programs, and the universe trying to build bigger and better idiots, so far... the universe is winning. Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow. You can't scare me, I have children.

I'm thinking maybe they hired you after I quit. ;)
