You would think since Windows 7 has been out for a while now that other programs would also be updated to properly work with it. I have a legacy PowerShell script that needs checked. I have a new Windows 7 system. Went to download PowerShell and they have a nice message at the top of the page: System Tip This article applies to a different version of Windows than the one you are using. Content in this article may not be relevant to you. Visit the Windows 7 Solution Center Nice now show me what I should be using... Wait, they have a second line item under Windows PowerShell 2.0 for: Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 So did they do away with PowerShell for Windows 7 or did they just add new functionality? We may never know. Done with rant.

Technet Article I was pretty sure PowerShell was already in Windows 7, and that's why the downloads say they don't apply (the article looks like it confirms it, and it lists the new stuff for 7). I know at TechEd they kept talking about new PowerShell features/version, so maybe they're just quietly working on version 3.

Thank you! Why cannot MS say that, plainly, on the PowerShell home page? It would have to be obvious for me to see it as I loose interest after the first couple of paragraphs that have nothing to do with my problem. :sigh: Thanks again,
