I hear Google+ is demanding that you use your real name. I didn't realise FB was doing the same (I'm on there with my pseudonym...). How are these people enforcing the use of one's real names?

Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike... me...

      The answer is :

They don't enforce people to use their "real name".

You can flame me whichever way you want and I wouldn't care a bit. But if you group me with some idiots, I'll turn into your worst nightmare.

Well, not exactly, but I hear they are suspending accounts if you're not using your real name: link[^]

Well, facebook only suspend a clearly "fake name" such as "Jboy72" and "NYgirl". So using pseudonyms is allowed as long as it can be used to "identify yourself". In google+'s case,

            The article says:

"The more Google knows about its audience, the better it can target adverts of interest and therefore make more money," says Nate Elliott, vice-president principal analyst at technology company Forrester Research.

            And I think it's correct! :-D

It's merely an other one in the long line of bad excuses they can use to close your account.

I don't think there was a vote number high enough for the timing of that Bill. Well played :) Pet related; My cat Mew, she is my Co-pilot of sorts when I am working. even has her own desk chair. When ever I play my video game, She sits on my shoulder and watches.

"The theory goes that when people are using their real names online, they are more likely to act responsibly and engage honestly with the community." - from the article. As for the theory that it makes it easier for google to identify you and target adds at you, I don't buy it. If that was it, they would probably be better off letting you use pseudonyms. For example if you used your real name, they might not be able to connect you with your code project user name where they could probably learn a lot about your interests in the lounge. Chances are they have ways of connecting you anyway...
