Just realized that there is a non-English language section in Code Project (it's the last one in the main menu on the left side). I have never noticed it before, it could have been there a long time. There are currently two items in the section, Chinese topics and Indian topics. Most of Chinese topics are in Mandarin or Cantonese, can't tell. As expected. All Indian topics are in English, which is again hardly suprising. Strangely, Indian section is listed under 'non-English' section. It might be worth changing the title in that menu ...

There have, also, been several posts entirely in any of the different Indian languages in there, so why should it not be non-English?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I am disappointed in the lack of the Cricket chat over there I was expecting it to be like the WC in terms of Volume of posts.

Much the same here with accents. There is Jock, Scouse, Geordie, Carrot Cruncher, Brummie, Mummerset, Cockney, Tyke, Taff, Mick, Estuary, Sarf etc.

True, sometimes you have to go with the stereotype. For instance I have to pretend I am a devout Hindu who worships the cow, so I always stand up and pray before devouring my filet mignon.

Exactly! We obviously need an Australian sectionm because it is clearly a different language.

The Canadians are the worst. They haven't figured out yet if they are British or American and so use a mix of both! And try to hide this lack of verbal originality by adding eh to everything. :-D

Correction: They haven't figured out yet if they are British, American or French and so use a mix of all three of them! We Belgians are not better off with Dutch, French and German and now also English as it has been upgraded to second language last week I think.

Correction: They haven't figured out yet if they are British, American or French and so use a mix of all three of them! We Belgians are not better off with Dutch, French and German and now also English as it has been upgraded to second language last week I think.

The real sticking point I have with Canadians is the fact that they speak English, but measure distances in Kilometres, which as any fule kno, is quite unacceptable. Even our American Cousins haven't fallen so low as to use a system of measurements invented by post revolutionary unemployed hairdressers.
