A generally useful technique I've used when purchasing wireless adapters: I would be on sites like TigerDirect or Newegg and search their user comments for Linux (or even Ubuntu). Compatibility is thus described from live experiences. Not as good as a make & model, but it's a decent form of purchase-risk-reduction. Say - is their a CP Shopper Forum?

There is a hardware forum but it seemed to me to be more like how to implement programs on certain hardware and other rather advanced hardware/sysAdmin questions not a what is a good sort of forum. That is why I asked here. But thanks Perhaps that is something you should submit as a site suggestion! bluetooth in linux is an odd sorta afterthought with little how tos for when it does not work. I am going to write a tutorial once I am done and post it here!
