Android Apps

Ok I got myself a new Android Phone a few weeks ago, move my email onto it, setup my Facebook etc... and have been exploring the App Store.. Rapidly coming to the conclusion that most of the apps are a pile of brown stinky stuff, with the exception of Dolphin Browser, Google SkyMap (Which I think is quite cool) and Endomo.. I also cant get over not having a "Exit" button on some Droid Apps as well, It worries me with the possibility of Memory leaks etc.. Does anyone have any Apps or games that they really rate?

You shouldn't worry about. Android takes care of. :)

The NASA App is great, and My Tracks if you like to know where you've been!

It took me a long time to get used to no exit button, but once you do learn how to use the phone it is a lot quicker switching between the things you use most. There are Task Killer apps out there, but they are not recommended, and most who use them seem to give up on them before too long. If you are on a limited data plan and use 3G a lot then 3G Watchdog is essential, it is quite cool even if you only use it a little bit. If you have Sky then the Sky+ app is like magic. Google My Tracks is really good if you like walking and want to see where you have been and have stats about it. Google Goggles can be quite fun, and its soduku solving powers are brilliant, if totally pointless. You need to get the Barcode Scanner app if you want to read any barcodes. I use TweetDeck for Twitter, it is not brilliant but much better than the default. I am yet to use my AA app, but if I ever break down it will send my GPS location to the AA and then phone them up. I'm quite excited about breaking down so am not having my car serviced anymore. I have a Shell petrol station locator because I have a Shell fuel card, but it is crap. I also have one of the home screens set up with a load of widgets to turn things on the phone on and off. Some of them may have come with the phone. These are Airplane mode, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-fi, Mobile internet, and Ringer profile. A quick swipe to the side, turn on (or off when done) and your battery will last so much longer when things are only turned on when you need them. Most of the other stuff I have is for a rooted phone.

Well in astronomy slang a tree filter is a chainsaw, so I suppose an excavator would be a dirt filter.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius

That's what I love/hate about Appoogle. Oooo, look! We have 200,000 apps in our store! Oh, yeah? Well, we have 500,000! Seriously? They never mention that 90% are crap, and the other 10% are just variations of maybe 2 dozen useful-ish things. Me, I've got 17 different flashlights on my phone. When I get bored with one, I use a different one.
I thought you had to go to Pittsburgh for that. My Mu[sic] My Films My Windows Programs, etc.
