Why PayPal doesn't suck today

Yep, you read it right. I know some people have a low opinion of PayPal, so I was not optimistic when I got hit with a chargeback from one of my product sales. PayPal asked me for the details, and I filled out their online form. The response I got from PayPal was, We'll try our best to get this chargeback reversed. Yeah, right. I immediately wrote off that one, and decided I would never see that money. So today, PayPal tells me that the chargeback bank had accepted my version of what happened, and I'll be getting the money after all. Totally, totally stunned!

I don't know about you, but I really hate myself for that feeling of gratitude I get when someone or some organization fails me in some way, and they succeed despite my expectations. It reminds me of that scene[^] in Animal House where Kevin Bacon's character is getting 'initiated' into his fraternity.
