Hi, gusy just created my first real website that has been published online. If people wouldn't mind having a look let me know there thoughts it would be a big help to me! I am not a designer more of a coder so any design input would be spot on! www.calorieconteruk.co.uk[^] Cheers, Dan

If you are going spam a developers' website, I'd be pretty sure of getting the URL correct at least...

It is a developers site for developers, you are correct however, if this is a question pertaining to ASP.NET then this is where you should post your "question". http://www.codeproject.com/Forums/12076/ASP-NET.aspx[^] Your original post was written in a very similar vein that the spammer use, perhaps you could rephrase how you pose your subject when posting in the proper forum. Also at the top of each forum you will find the posting rules pertaining to that particular forum. Regards

It was broke, so I fixed it.

As soon as theres a link to a website on a post people think spammmm and thats the end of that you get downvoted 4 times! Think it may just be an idea not to bother save my rep any more downward movement! Cheers again for the reply

Wish I'd seen the original message, but it got carpet-bombed out of existence before I got the chance. Based on the replies and the subject (of the replies at least), it seemed kind of harsh to me that it got that kind of treatment. After all, I've seen others (with higher reps) post links to their websites (and other stuff as well) with requests for comment, without having those posts univoted out of existence. But if it sounded spammy, that's probably it. Shame about it since it kind of leaves a bad taste in the OP's mouth about the friendliness of the site. Was the OP asking a programming question or just asking for criticism of his site? If he was only seeking critique, then I'd say this is the proper forum, otherwise you're probably right to redirect him.

I did peruse the site and I personally did not notice anything offensive, other than the Ad Link at the bottom I kept wondering what the payload was. If I were to offer any suggestion it would be since this is an international forum that metric and American units be used in the calculators.
