LOL (literally). He means well; we're just too "into" the thread to just let it die.

Do you think rage is likely to get annoyed if we just keep posting random 'do you thing rage...' posts?

Interesting theory, it may lend itself as a experiment worthy of Dr. Watson or Skinner.

It was broke, so I fixed it.

And it has the added benefit of filling up more of Chris's database with even more rubbish that is of no use to man nor beast.

OK, here's a suggestion update... ;) Instead of just using kilograms and centimeters the website could include pounds and inches in the calculators for metric deficient cousins across the pond. :) How long before rage posts another no more posts post?

Imagine, terabytes of rubbish. If you added extra icons like :bob: and  the html would probably increase that even more.

Wish I'd seen the original message, but it got carpet-bombed out of existence before I got the chance. Based on the replies and the subject (of the replies at least), it seemed kind of harsh to me that it got that kind of treatment. After all, I've seen others (with higher reps) post links to their websites (and other stuff as well) with requests for comment, without having those posts univoted out of existence. But if it sounded spammy, that's probably it. Shame about it since it kind of leaves a bad taste in the OP's mouth about the friendliness of the site. Was the OP asking a programming question or just asking for criticism of his site? If he was only seeking critique, then I'd say this is the proper forum, otherwise you're probably right to redirect him.

Apologies, it looked like spam. It even looked the a candidate for the type of sites that spam.

No problem Keith, I know that seems to be the issue everywhere I post asking for some input get killed by people moaning about spam! I just want opinions so it can improve! Someone posted about an add at the bottom of the site I noticed, sorry I couldn't find your reply again but it is a google adsense advert placed by google. gets my site a bit of revenue and puts it on googles radar hopefully pushing me up the ranking a bit! Currently 12th for "calorie counter UK" but aiming for top 3-4 really! Anyway cheers for the more friendly replies!

The two systems actually aren't identical, lengths and weight units are equivalent (although I've only seen stone used by Brits), but the US Customary gallon is about 20% smaller than the British Imperial one and only contains 128oz instead of 160. At the time of independence both the wine and ale gallons were in use. The American customary gallon is the former, the Brits tweaked the size of the ale gallon so that a gallon of water would weigh exactly 10 pounds in a pathetic effort to copy the French.

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius
