well ish. After the recent ( January ) infection that gave me a heart flutter that in turn wiped out my kidney transplant, I have been given the all clear as far as the heart goes. All I need to do now is get the blood flow in my leg arteries checked and visit the transplant surgeons before I can go on the transplant list. I all goes well and there's no reason to suspect difficulty I'll be going on the transplant list on 22 Nov 2011. No guarantee I'll get one of course but hey aty least I'll be in the game. Work wise I'm half way through the dissertation on Representations of Prostitution in the Eigthteenth Century so well on target to finish it by the end of October. It doesn't have to be in until January but still the topic should prove relevant in later life :) Really really itching to finish Personal Music Player version 1 but must behave for two months then it's back to a clear programminng field.

Given what your dissertation is, should you really be admitting to this?

Good luck with the list - what happened to your old kidneys, if you don't mind me asking?

I just think of it as darwinism in action. The last transplant came from a drunk car crash. So lets face it he was a danger to himself and everyone else. I was happy he had a donation card though.

I understand that (and I did not mean to be rude, BTW). It is only an awkward situation to wish someone unknown's death to help someone you know (or self) to live longer. It probably makes it better to handle if it is a drunk car crash, even if in this case, the quality of the transplanted liver might not be the best :sigh:
