If it's still standing after the first rain, cannot be from China.

First, do you even know who Maya Angelou is? Google is a wonderful tool. As to the statue being too white, how many statues / sculptures are photo-realistic? Ever seen one? Shall we also complain that Borglum's work at Mt. Rushmore is also bad? After all, the stone doesn't match the skin color of the subjects. The hair color is all wrong, too.

Well, I found that statement stupid, so I thought let me post some stupid joke on that, it was a joke (OK OK...a bad joke)

You called Maya Angelou, who was the Northern Coordinator of King's Southern Christian Leadership Conference at a time when that could have been dangerous, a "racist." Now you are labeling as stupid a woman who has been honored by universities, literary organizations, government agencies, and special interest groups, including a National Book Award nomination for I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, a Pulitzer Prize nomination for her book of poetry, Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water 'fore I Die, a Tony Award nomination for her role in the 1973 play Look Away, and three Grammys for her spoken word albums. In 1995, Bantam Books, recognized her for having the longest-running record (two years) on The New York Times Paperback Nonfiction Bestseller List. In 1998, she was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame. She has served on two presidential committees, and was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 2000, the Lincoln Medal in 2008, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2011. "Out of the huts of history's shame I rise Up from a past that's rooted in pain I rise I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide, Welling and swelling I bear in the tide. Leaving behind nights of terror and fear I rise Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear I rise Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave. I rise I rise I rise." ~ Maya Angelou, stupid racist.

All of these have nothing to do with stupidity. There are differences between, Stupid, Dumb, Moron and Retard. right ? Stupid: Anyone can be stupid, it's just that the person is silly at that particular time. Dumb: A person who is Stupid all the time. Moron: A person trying too hard to be a Dumb person. Retard: A person who is successful in becoming a Moron. and regarding Racist, everyone is racist, it's the degree/level which is different. so yes, she is stupid + racist, for that particular comment :)

Someone who can never say "I was wrong" and attempt correct his/her errors, may have a great future in management but their code will suck scissors sideways.

I have that movie on DVD, starring Godfrey Cambridge. One of my faves.

So some racist person came up with the argument that the newly unveiled memorial of MLK made MLK look arrogant[^]. now if you ask me, the biggest problem I see is, he looks too WHITE, first fix that and then we will talk about the arrogance.

Maya is off by a bit. The partial quote doesn't make him sound arrogant, it makes him sound stupid. Me, I think the statue makes him look fat.

                    That's the trouble with photo-realism. ;)
