Now that I'm officially a grad student at University of Wisconsin (online), do have to quit cheering for the San Diego Chargers, and become a Packers fan? Or does that only apply if I watch college football?

It is a game for real men. And there have been some classic moments of pain where fingers are reset, or blood spurts freely. Not for the fainthearted.

Honestly, I have seen all of this first hand on the ice rink. I only played at the high school level. I lost a tooth midgame, stuck it back in my mouth immediately, and somehow it stayed. It's chipped and slightly grey 13 years later.

No, attending a school in/from a different state does not have to trump native sports loyalties. I'm a WI native living in MN and I've never cheered for the Vikings unless the Packers needed them to win in order to get to the playoffs. Of course, given the amount of talk about beer and food around here I don't know why you wouldn't want to be a fan of teams that are all about beer, cheese, and brats. :)
