Got a little bit of an issue regarding WSS 3.0 and SSL certs. My boss has asked me to place all of our WSS 3.0 sites with SSL certs for better security within our network. We had a penetration test done last month and the guys performing the test were able to see users' passwords in clear text while they were "hacking" our network. Now, we've got SSL certs on our servers, so the SharePoint server has one, but it was done a while ago and it looks like it isn't valid (I wasn't part of that project, but we have since moved to a new internal cert server). Using the new cert server I am able to get a cert onto one of the sites on the server, but when I try to pull up the site in both FF and IE9 I get an exception message and the cert that it is seeing is the server cert that seems to be invalid. My questions are: 1) do I need to take off the server cert and get a new one from our current cert server and 2) how do I get the multiple WSS 3.0 sites on SSL?

This really isn't a SharePoint issue. Using certs is about configuration of your server(s) and IIS.
