A guy who read my C# articles has been writing to me personally for help for a while, and I've been happy to give advice. This morning I got an email with an attachment and this: Now I have more clarity on my project requirement. First of all I am requied to write code for IMAGE SEGMENTATION algorithm. I think I might have it in C or Java. I wonder if you could convert to C# for me. Also I will be given raw images, so I am also required to write code that converts from YUV to RGB. I have attached someones code that is supposed to do that. Pls help me take a look as I dont understand C# that well. This is stuff he is doing for work. Then someone else writes to me: Hi, I am facing one probelm in bringing up a dialog box when a line is double clicked. Can you send me a program to do the same? Thanks in advance from someone else, who has never, ever written to me before. What is going on here ? Has a rumour started that I finally have some free time, and can't handle it ? Christian No offense, but I don't really want to encourage the creation of another VB developer. - Larry Antram 22 Oct 2002 C# will attract all comers, where VB is for IT Journalists and managers - Michael P Butler 05-12-2002 Again, you can screw up a C/C++ program just as easily as a VB program. OK, maybe not as easily, but it's certainly doable. - Jamie Nordmeyer - 15-Nov-2002

okay 10 billion quid but I want 1/2 up front and no penalty clauses - you're desperate you'll sign
Technically speaking the dictionary would define Visual Basic users as programmers.
But here again, a very generalized, liberal definition is being employed and it's wrong

Yeah, but then I'd have to go with one less VB quote. Plus it's really just decency we're talking about. If they don't get it, they won't get it. And finally, I don't mind if people email me ALL the time. Just when it gets to the point that they ask me to write a project and email it to them.
