There's a question in Quick Answers about writing a virus. I don't think it's appropriate but does it count as 'Spam/Abuse'? What the consensus? Ta.

Abuse - I'd give a polite (ish) reply saying "no" and explaining why, and report, myself.

Oh, that comma made such a difference.

Though the rules stated no virus questions but that must have been a different site. I will second OriginalGriff's comment.

I have reported it now. I was surprised to see it there with no real abuse to be honest and I wondered if it was just me that thought it inappropriate. Thanks. :)

I'd say Delete it. In this case, it's probably appropriate to provide the link to the question so that someone with appropriate powers can remove the offending question.

I've clicked the Spam/Abuse thingy. Its easy to find they have even Tagged it 'virus' and called it 'Best programming language for writing virus'. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry ... I think I'll

I wouldn't have thought you the kind of girl who would be bothered about 'Viruses' :)

It always does - the fundamental difference between the RC and Protestant churches is down to the placement of a comma... “Verily, I say unto thee, This day thou shalt be with me in Paradise.” - Protestant “Verily, I say unto thee this day, Thou shalt be with me in Paradise.” - Catholic Luke, xxiii, 43 The later leaving the way open for Purgatory, and all sorts of money making Indulgences. (Thanks to Lynne Truss)

Write you own program, that deals with documents. Then write virus for this type of documents. That is only one way!
