Disaffection with the modern world

Have you seen how small Penguin biscuits are these days? Two bites and it's gone. I feel robbed. Wagon Wheels? Maybe on a wagon fit for a Borrower. And what happened to if-you-like-a-lot-of-chocolate-on-your-biscuit-join-our-Clubs? Now it looks like a molecule-thin layer deposited in a vacuum chamber. :sigh: (Edited for grammar.)
I really miss the old fashioned little paper bag with a 1/4 of licorice torpedoes but no green ones thank-you very much as they give me wind but the red and blue ones are great.

To me, being across the pond, after I read that I was hesitant to Google Penguin biscuits lest I set off the corporate site blocker. But curiosity prevailed, thank goodness, another awful image purged from my mind. :laugh:

I remember the day (granted, when I was five) when an apple required two hands to hold and half an hour to eat; now, they are small and can be finished in about 5 minutes. One of the reasons getting old sucks is that we still remember when the world seemed big and shiny and new.

I can vouch for that. I never get to see any of the chocolate/sweets that enter out house. :sigh:
