Something else you don't see around these days, but which were common in my youth was the Spaz Chariot.[^]

I really miss the old fashioned little paper bag with a 1/4 of licorice torpedoes but no green ones thank-you very much as they give me wind but the red and blue ones are great.

Of course it does. Any parent knows that if they buy any form of sweet, their children will appropriate them for themselves.

You take sweets of that quality near your kids? Licorice has an 8 minute half life with me.

Have you seen how small Penguin biscuits are these days? Two bites and it's gone. I feel robbed. Wagon Wheels? Maybe on a wagon fit for a Borrower. And what happened to if-you-like-a-lot-of-chocolate-on-your-biscuit-join-our-Clubs? Now it looks like a molecule-thin layer deposited in a vacuum chamber. :sigh: (Edited for grammar.)

The slogan of P-P-P-Pick up a Penguin could have taken a whole new meaning there.

You're probably like me, my brain is several words ahead of my typing. Without the red squigglies I'd end up looking like a bad typist. (Hunt and peck typist that I am.) :)

I remember the day (granted, when I was five) when an apple required two hands to hold and half an hour to eat; now, they are small and can be finished in about 5 minutes. One of the reasons getting old sucks is that we still remember when the world seemed big and shiny and new.

I can vouch for that. I never get to see any of the chocolate/sweets that enter out house. :sigh:
