When I click on a topic, it tries to run installation. I click cancel and the topic displays.

I used to get this when I was on Win2K Pro. Have not seen it on XP Pro. But that may not mean much. I would get it on Win2K Pro on random topics. Not each time I clicked help. So it may still happen on XP too.

I'm on XP. I went ahead and let it run through the install. It was a strange install. It went through all 4 disks very fast, without asking me anything... It was kind of scary.

You are a brave man. :-) I thought about doing the same, but had so many problems during the initial install, that I just did not have the courage to risk another screw up. By the way, now that it ran through the install did the problem vanish?
