Who won an Oscar for his portrayal of Popeye in 1971? Gene Hackman. Who was the third actor to play James Bond? If you only count movies and don't count Casino Royal then the third is Roger Moore. If you count casino royal, the third is George Lazonby Which Carpenter went on to have a solo career? Harrison Ford. He was unlucky in space and thought it was due to bacon? Tom Hanks As for the connection. Not a clue.

Gene Hackman (Popeye Doyle) Roger Moore, (or George Lazenby if you count the original Casino Royal) Richard Carpenter? (Not so sure on that one...) Errr... I may have to get back to you on the other

Specifically they were all Submarine Commanders. Bill Paxton was in U571, he never commanded a submarine in Titanic, but I will give you the Tin of Beans.

I was pretty doubtful of my answer specifically because of Titanic. Didn't seem like a movie you'd reference in one of these games. :)

The James Bond one's a bit debatable. The radio series version pre Bob Holness had Jimmy Bond as an American.

The names were [relatively] easy, but the connection I had no idea about. I toyed with "Mr J Beiber has had wet dreams about them", another possibly true but unverifiable connection. :-D

Who won an Oscar for his portrayal of Popeye in 1971? Who was the third actor to play James Bond? Which Carpenter went on to have a solo career? He was unlucky in space and thought it was due to bacon? Names please, and, of course, the somewhat obtuse connection.
