I just bought the m500 I know it is not top of the line and it is a PALM. But my old Visor was dying and I could not pass up on the unit on sale, new in box, at Staples for $119 :) I always wanted one. [Edit] You know I didn't even answer your question with my original post. I was fascinated by the Zaurus, and I would like one too but the price tag is still a little to steep for me. But a nice unit, give me an excuse to learn how to code in *nix :) [/Edit] Code4Food ---- "There is no try; only do or do not" -Yoda

What makes my pants tight probably would offend you. :) But honestly, do you really need a PDA? Both my boss and I had ones last year around this time - I found it was just not as handy as a five-for-a-buck small notepad and pen/pencil. He stopped using his when he let the batteries run flat and still hasn't bothered to recharge it, and he was using it a lot more than I used mine. His sits in a desk drawer now, I sold mine.

The answer is no, whatever the question is. You can't have it, you don't need it, and you'll break it in five minutes if I give it to you.

I've been using mine for about 3 years now. On and off but mostly on. I also have a paper planner. I found that the paper planner works better when I am in the office before a project hits the manufacturing floor when specs need to be researched and I am in a crap load of meetings. But then I use my Palm for everthing else. It is easier to put data into the PDA via outlook once then it is to enter it in Outlook and then the planner. It is certainly a toy tool that you have to create a use for. Besides, the cool factor is way way up there.;P Jeff Patterson How do I set a laser printer to stun?

I have a SL-5500 Zaurus, but I don't use it. I just ordered a Axim from Dell last Friday. My Z is in good condition if anyone is interested. I have all of the stuff (cables & CD) for it. I did find that the Open Source [http://openzaurus.org/\] ROM for it was pretty cool. It's better than the Sharp one, and doesn't include the useless java test apps & other junk.

I own a handspring prism and if it wasn't for the springboard expansion modules that you can swap in and out, I probably wouldn't have one at all. I honestly rarely use mine, except for the cell phone module that I presently have plugged in. It is sometimes useful for todo lists and address books, but beyond that I have very little need personally. I bet most people are just waiting for that killer app to make the PDA a must have but so far it doesn't exist.
