I was up late last night working on a p.o.w.e.r.p.o.i.n.t presentation. The feeling of dirtiness won't go away, I even tried a bleach bath but it doesn't help. :sigh: When did I stop being a tech and start doing this fluffy shyte?

One way to get around this guilt is to automate Powerpoint to do things instead of doing it yourself. It would at least give you the feeling that your were writing code and doing something technical.

That's bad. Very bad. This[^] may help...

And from the clouds a mighty voice spoke:
"Smile and be happy, for it could come worse!"

And I smiled and was happy
      And it came worse.

I'll try it with Benylin. I have a cough as well just to make me extra manky.

If I read this right, it must be used before having an experience that you don't want to remember. It does not work afterwards, so its usefulness is still limited.

I've set up templates and so I just enter the text into the outline which creates the slides for me. But it's still fluffy.

I agree. It is not powerful and it has no point. I much prefer to write an agenda for the meeting and sit down and talk with the client rather than then PP technique of talking at the client. It has always struck me as being a way that stops informed discussion and instead provides a one way flow of information.

Trade ya. The company is rolling out increased hours but not increased pay. There's bonuses based on department performance. Do I trust them not to drum up some excuse even if we do well to tank said bonus? Heck yes. The ones that this doesn't effect? The people who are doing the fluffy shyte all day. Funny that.

I am not that cruel. It took me 15 minutes to write the 'script' for the presentation and now I'm 4 hours into PPTing and it still blows chunks.
