When I drank every day, I used to feel sorry for people who didn't - when they woke up in the morning, that was the best they were going to feel all day...

Stoppit, you're making me miss drinking. Sober since May 1st this year, and still going strong. People ask me "Does it feel much better?" And I'm like "No, it's about the same really. I have less tolerance for wasting my time with asinine meaningless questions though..." and give them a dark look. Christmas with the family is going to be tough.

Dammit - I thought I'd corrected that. Reminder to oneself - reread post before hitting Post Message.

Talking of curtains and moving away from spit roasts, my daughter was born by emergency C-Section, and when doing the nasty down the business end they put up a curtain half way(ish) down and the father sits at the top end on a little stool chatting away and trying desperately to ignore the cutting and hacking sounds and not fall apart completely. I remembered someone telling me that if you look up at the lights then you can see reflected everything that is going on the other side of the curtain, so I was also desperately not letting my eyes raise up at all.

What is the catchphrase in English: "With everything ?" maybe ? In Germany : "Mit allem ? (und scharf ?)" In France : "Salade Ognion Tomate ?" Wild guess : Sliced turkey ?
