Microsoft shares would plummet and it would be proven that Bill had gone insane. Oracle sucks. Why would Microsoft want Oracle. SQL Server is already on its way to becoming the best SQL database around. Oracle, like Netscape, Lotus and the rest - sat on their laurels for too long whilst Bill and his boys worked their asses off to provides something better. Oracle is a "sitting duck" company. They're a large company who really don't have their sh*t together. Their products have very clear room for improvement. MS would be better off competing against Oracle than buying them - because they could start fresh on a new DB (avoiding Oracle's mistakes), they wouldn't have to pay the overinflated pricetag. ------------------------------------------ "Isn't it funny how people say they'll never grow up to be their parents, then one day they look in the mirror and they're moving aircraft carriers into the Gulf region?" - The Onion
