Maybe the people that use them love them so much that they never, ever sell them on until they break.

So I am looking for an iphone for Mrs. RaGE (actually a used 3gs, that's enough for a start), and I came to the conclusion that they must be really fragile : about every ad or auction goes "Perfect state, but button missing or broken/scratches on screen/no reception/WiFi not working/USB cable broken/headphones are not working/can't use vibrator anymore*" and so on. One could argue that these would be the reason why people would sell the thingy, so there would be some logic behind, but that _every_ ad mentions a problem is quite astonishing. There is almost no way to find a used one in still acceptable shape. :~ * Better not start this here

They say a used cell phone has more germs in it than a toilet. Plus the iPhone itself is not far from crap anyway. I'd recommend a Nokia Lumia phone. (710 or 800). They come in pink too.

Apple probably prevent them selling on the phone*, all these are broken so cannot be iphones (as apple dont make things that break - every body knows that) so its ok to sell * they force ebay etc to take down the item and two large gentlemen in jeans black turtlenecks and dark glasses turn up at your door carrying baseball bats and the licence agreement from the box

You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

I have a 3G which I bought in August 2008. Still shining like new. Never had any problems. My guess it's not the hardware, but the users. ;)
