WPF Handwriting "Preview"

I am trying to emulate the preview that is in this app... The app I am referring to is an app for the iPad. I am trying to do this for my own touch screen WPF app. What I am wanting it a panel of some kind that I can pull up that shows a zoomed in version of a specified area that the user clicked. I have tried layout and render scale transforms the problem that I run into is that when the "preview" area is zoomed in and the user writes the "note" area shows the ink in the wrong place... Also the "preview" area looks terrible because of the scaling the background image is very pixelated.
