This is probably old news for most, but I just discovered that they're re-making the spiderman movie. Clickety[^] Some may disagree with me (flame away), but Tobey Maguire[^] must have been one of the worst possible choices for the role ever. The spiderman we knew from the comics had always been slim, athletic and whitty, full of smart-ass comments. Not chubby-faced and dull. Also, after the conversion from geek to hero, he's supposed to look cool and sharp and attractive to the ladies, all Tobey ever managed was building muscles, something any meathead can muster with enough mirror-facing-free-weight-gym-sessions. I did enjoy the trilogy though, but could never really get myself to agree with the cast. So, finally, their doing it over, thankfully not patching on to the existing 3 movies with another sequel, but totally re-thinking and re-making it from act 1! Looking forward to it!

Are we talking about the same Peter Parker? His popularity with readers, according to Stan Lee, was that people could identify with him because he was so normal, suffering from the same angst as other teenagers, not being the good looking, cool guy.

My idea of a remake is something they make MANY years after the originals... not this soon.

So far, no one seems to have cracked this!

It isn't a remake. It's a reboot. No, I don't really know what the difference is either.
