Ah, but Mitt comes from a church that prays and baptizes the dead and forgotten, even if they don't believe and/or requested such posthumous renderings. He is also a millionaire, so he must be a financial genius among men...no women. Women take a back seat in the Mormon faith and Mitt is a devout Mormon.

Oh. Then the Mormon church must have changed since I last visited.

Watch out Slacker, some magic underwears are downvoting anti Mitt talk.

You are full of incorrect information. Get some facts and then come back and talk.

No, not at all. You must have misunderstood something. If you had actually visited you would not have made that statement.

http://www.exmormon.org/mormwomn.htm[^] I grew up with a Mormon family for almost five years. I know what I speak of. Like I said, the church must have changed since I last visited.

Just s SMALL piece of advice. You are not going to find accurate information from people who USED to be Mormons, got offended by something, and now claim to tell the truth. exmormon.org is your source. Just to be fair to you, I actually read almost all of the first 3 paragraphs on that site and there is so much incorrect about it there is no point in continuing. I guess if exmormon.org is your source, I can understand where you come from. I invite you to go to mormon.org instead if you want to know what the Church teaches. And no, the church has not changed.

I'm just curious, how did you get negative Participant points? The rep-faq doesn't list anything that can give you negative Participant points. Also, how do magnets work?

                  1. I have had some people get offended by my conservative views and they mark my posts as SPAM, which is minus 100 or something. I know 2 of the people that did it and if I had any feelings, I would probably care. 2. I have no idea what the magnets refer to. I feel like there must be an inside joke I don't know about.

It is Super Tuesday, and if Mitt Romney does manage to take a substantial lead, people of America need to question their vote. This is Mitt Romney, who lost to John McCain in the 2008 race. Not forgetting that John McCain was the man who lost to GWB in the 2000 campaign. You cannot vote into an office a man who was not good enough to beat the man who was not good enough to beat George W Bush!

You don't even live in the US, so of course you want the worse possible President for us. Still bitter over that thing a couple of hundred years ago. :) Obama is way worse than Bush. Obama is radical, leftist, socialist, anti-American, anti-Constitution, etc, etc. I saw a sign the other day that mentioned our gas was $1.78/gallon when Obama took office and now it is $3.70/gallon, how's that for change? Ya, Obama is no good.

Where the HELL was gas $1.78 four years ago? It was hitting $4 during some points of the Bush administration. It goes up and down due to the whims of some rich people and the fears of some other people. It may be more complicated than that. But I've stopped caring.

The real issue is Obama is not even (likely) a citizen of the United States which goes against our constitution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwhKuunp8D8&feature=player_embedded[^] The first clip may be doctored but most of them are not. And, the main point still stands even if Obama did or did not admit it himself. He is not eligible to be the President, yet there he is. That is what is most messed up.

They believe this... Smith said he found the plates on September 22, 1823 at a hill  near his home in Manchester, New York  after an angel  directed him to a buried stone box. The angel at first prevented Smith from taking the plates because he had not followed the angel's instructions. In 1827, on his fourth annual attempt to retrieve the plates, Smith returned home with a heavy object wrapped in a frock, which he then put in a box. Though he allowed others to heft the box, he said that the angel had forbidden him to show the plates to anyone until they had been translated from their original "reformed Egyptian " language. Smith dictated a translation using a seer stone  in the bottom of a hat, which he placed over his face to view the words written within the stone.[3]  Smith published the translation in 1830 as the Book of Mormon . Smith eventually obtained testimonies from eleven men, known as the Book of Mormon witnesses , who said they had seen the plates.[4]  After the translation was complete, Smith said he returned the plates to their angelic guardian . Therefore, if the plates existed, they cannot now be examined. Latter Day Saints believe the account of the golden plates as a matter of faith, while critics often assert that either Smith manufactured the plates himself[5]  or that the Book of Mormon witnesses based their testimony on visions rather than physical experience.

I asked what you have against Mormons, so I guess this is your answer? Aside from a few small things this is pretty accurate. So? Do you have a problem with Mormons believing God spoke to man? Or that an angel appeared to him? Or that he translated scripture by the power of God? I am curious, what exactly bothers you about this? If you don't believe it, then so what?
