After Sarah Burke[^] earlier in January, today Nick Zoricic[^] died after a crash near the finish line in Switzerland. Even with the safeties and precautions, accidents still happen. Sad day for Canadian winter sports. :rose: (fix'n'link)

That is so sad, and I hadn't heard about Sarah Burke. I grew up in Colorado and have skied almost since I could walk. Even so, watching the professional skiers has always scared the daylights out of me. :rose:
