How to retrieve default WSS Header and menu
-
HI, i am facing a issue. I have WSS configured on my machine. I am trying to create a new application from the central admin but the header, Menu and footer of the new application is of some Application XYZ. It seems that when i created the XYZ app, the default WSS header, menu and footer is replaced by its XYZ's custom header, menu and footer. Now whenever i create a new application, the header, menu and footer is not the one sharepoint default but of XYZ app. I am stuck and i need urgent help on it. Thanks, Asfand

First, don't ask for urgent help, it rude. This is a volunteer site and people will answer you on their time, not yours. Try using the correct terminology. The header, menu and footer you describe are located in a master page. Are you creating a new Web Application and Site Collection or just a new site in an existing Site Collection? What site template are you using? What master page are you using?
Failure is not an option; it's the default selection.
