Nice!

Very true about that "Instagram" thing that keeps being mentioned. Why have Facebook bought out a company that effectively created a smaller version of Photoshop?
See if you can crack this: b749f6c269a746243debc6488046e33f
So far, no one seems to have cracked this! The unofficial awesome history of Code Project's Bob! "People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid."

...and Lloyd shows how little he understands what Instagram is.
It let's you take photographs and then apply some kind of image filter to it and then it is posted to the internet where people can also view it. :)

Please enlighten us Mike. Because I hadn't heard of Instagram before Facebook paid an insane amount of money for it. As far as I can tell, it takes your pictures and makes them look crappy. Apparently that's worth a $billion now days.
-
I agree the billion dollars was silly... The picture taking and filter bit is not unique. It's the mobile picture sharing and 30 million users that likely interested Facebook. Think Twitter for pictures...
I'll admit I'm ignorant on this, but isn't there all ready a crap load of websites where you can share your boring ass photos with the disinterested masses? Including Facebook for that matter. I thought flickr was the Twitter for pictures  I'm not saying their isn't something unique and cool about Instragram (although we both agree a billion was just insane), maybe it really is worth a few hundred million at least, I just don't know what it is.

It ain't a web site. It's mobile only. It can post pics to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or more commonly to the account holders own photo stream. Which in turn can be shared publicly or privately. I've only used it for the last month or so, but its proven to be a great way to share pics with my wife and adult children when we travel or see interesting things. P.S. Our streams are all private. I don't share my boring ass photos with the masses.

So it's just an app then? And one that it sounds like somebody could knock together over a rainy weekend?
