Britain is the Bridge between the two great powers of the world economy. To the East is Germany, to the West, North and South Canada. The Centre of the World, the Meridian, an Island Nation that ruled the world and left a legacy of Language, Culture, Trade and Freedom.

Here's me thinking that separation for Scotland was just another name for Independence and all along it's about turning us into an Island!

I'm still glad as hell I wasn't born and/or raised in France. For starters, I don't speak French.

No - it has two land bridges to Civilisation. One to the north, and one to the west.

Thats what countries did, had had done for hundreds of years (and a lot still would given half a chance) We were just very good at it, had we not it would have been France or Germany or Russia or Holland or Italy or Spain or Mongolia etc etc and before you say that doesnt make it right, it also doesnt mean that by the standards of the time that is was wrong

The First World War was largely started to protect the income our aristocracy received from the colonies.

so the fact that Germany wanted to create European superpower was nothing to do with it?
